I spent a lovely night here. The garden view room was spacious and had a charming atmosphere, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially the eggs Benedict!

It was in the central location right next to town centre. Our room was modern and functional with shower, the lovely garden and heating off window. The staff were reasonably good and helpful all the time...

The location was ideal and nice - ease of access to The Westgate. The hotel itself was in a really pretty area, just off the train station and town center, the gardens, and central Winchester. Our standard room had an electronic key card, coffee/tea making machines and a multi-channel television. The bathroom was luxury with a roll-in shower.

The royal is great location near the center. The reception staff were really kind and helpful. Our room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The festive decor added a nice touch to our stay.

Given the price of the rooms perhaps they should have a small fridge as in all hotels. I knew breakfast wasn't included, but it must have been. We opted for that hotel because it was close to our family.
I've explained it before.

Large and comfortable room. Good location
Small parking, never enough for everyone. The bathroom, a little outdated, not at the height of such a hotel

We were upgraded to a suite, but it wasn't thoroughly clean, with dust and mould present. Although our evening meal was delicious, it was disappointing to find hair in it, affecting the overall quality of our stay.

Peaceful location for Winchester, near to garden and the shops restaurants. Reasonably priced rooms, en suite and extremely pleasant with a bath.

The location of the hotel is very central, rooms are sufficiently large and clean. We were accommodated in the new part of the building, but in the old part the ambience is certainly even more appealing. It was calm. Breakfast was delicious.
Parking spaces are limited and available for additional payment.

Loved the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful secluded garden! The comfy room was a perfect retreat after a day exploring. Plus, the afternoon tea was just good!

Very good location, very clean but unfortunately completely untrained and incompetent staff. Surprising in a place like this!

So clean and the bed was heavenly! Breakfast was a tasty delight. A gem for sightseeing and parking is handy, even if it costs a few quid!
Room 119 was like a bad blind date-awkward and not what I expected!
